The
Association of Irish Humanists (AIH)
The AIH exists to defend and promote humanist values, ethics and
morals in Irish society.
The AIH meets monthly and publishes a quarterly newsletter. It is
as a contact point for Irish humanists, agnostics, atheists and
freethinkers. Current affairs and organisational issues are regularly
discussed at meetings and AIH members regularly write to newspapers
and produce pamphlets as well as engaging with people from other
organisations with similar interests.
Youth in AIH
In the past, AIH did not engage in many activities or projects specifically
geared towards the involvement of younger people. Since 2002 AIH
is making increased efforts to raise awareness of humanism among
third level students with the aim of getting a humanist societies
established in the universities in Ireland.
