One of the germaine issues prioritized during the drafting of the Millenium Deveopment Goal, MDGs, is access of the girl-child to quality and affordable education. Subsequent regional and state formulations have also seek to take care of this. Unfortunately, certain countries have found it difficult to get on their feet to be able to implement this needed access vital to the future of humanity.
As for Youth for Community Academic and Development Services (YOCADS), a humanist-biased group based in Liberia, led by AWG (African Working Group) board member, Alphonsos Weah, "there is more to be done, before the former Charles Taylor's 'colony', can achieve quality girl-child education. To the YOCADS, therefore, there is need for government to subsidized education heavily at all levels (most especially at the primary and high school lelvels).
The campaign against commercialization of education has been on since 2008 and the programme is waxing stronger. The principal goal of the project, which features seminars, road-walks, school visits, is to call the attention of the government led by Ellen Sirleaf to this need, the need to increase budgetary allocation and attention to the provision of quality and education, ACCESSIBLE to all, at all level
