Humanism is deeply rooted in a profound respect for the individual human being. Human rights give each and every person the right and opportunity to be and choose whatever she or he wants as long as other rights are not violated by her or his actions.
IHEYO holds to be self-evident that just like one cannot discriminate people on the basis of their gender, physical appearance, skin colour or religious believes one cannot discriminate people on the basis of their sexual orientation.
Humanism is the outcome of a long tradition of free thought that has inspired many of the world's great thinkers and creative artists and gave rise to science itself. The fundamentals of modern Humanism are as follows:
