Two young men, Abubakar Sani (25 years) and Muhammad Ibrahim (22 years) have been confirmed for amputation by the Upper Sharia Court of Kastina State. The trial judge, Alhaji Ibrahim Saida found them guilty of Suratul Malida of the Quoran for shop breaking and stealing (theft) goods worth N45, 000, which they later sold for N12, 000. According to him, “this judgment is in consonance with Section 347 of the Sharia Code of Kastina State”. The young men who have been convicted since October 17, 2003 are still awaiting execution order.
Norway gives Witch State grant
